Joslyn reclosing sectionalizers are unique in combining recloser and sectionalizer logic without current coordination problems.

Unlike other reclosers and sectionalizers, Joslyn reclosing sectionalizers do not require fault current detection or count the number of recloser shots prior to lockout. The control automatically opens the Joslyn vacuum switch during the "dead time" of the station or line recloser. The Joslyn switches then systematically close as voltage is restored to their source side until the faulted section is located causing automatic opening and lockout of the Joslyn switch that closed into the fault. This basic voltage time (V-T) logic does not require current coordination, thereby eliminating problems for short highly loaded distribution lines.

	Maintenance safety feature automatically opens the switch with no reclose if voltage is lost while control is set in the manual position which prevents reclosing into personnel on the line.
	"Selected Close" Feature*
	Allows selective closing to energize a distribution line segment from a selected source.
	Proprietary "Immediate Second Close" Feature*
	Significantly reduces total system restoration time.
	Voltage Time "(V-T) Close Inhibit" Feature*
	Automatically prevents closing if line is energized on both sides of a "V-T" switch, while it is in the open position.

Specify version

Version 1	This control includes all three (3) option P.C. boards and the "OT" option.
Version 2	This control includes the "OT" option and has provisions for all three (3) plug in option P.C. boards. The Option P.C. boards must be ordered separately.
Version 3	This control includes all of the standard featured options including the "OT" option. This control version does not have provisions for the three (3) option P.C. boards.
Version 4	This control includes all of the standard featured options not including the "OT" option. Sockets are provided to add the "OT" option. This control does not have provisions for the three (3) option P.C. boards.
